therapy and stretching, we will establish skills that can bring success and happiness to your clients. Bring either a towel for a chest drape or a sports bra.  7

“Integrative Health Care Practitioner: Seated Massage Experience Level I” with Raymond Blaylock
The Integrative Health Care Practitioner Program is designed to give the massage therapist skill set that will make them more proficient, efficient and marketable
in the health care industry. Seated Massage is a powerful approach for addressing stress. Our contention is that the massage chair has revolutionized  the
massage industry but most therapists are not adept with the proper use of a massage chair: bio-mechanically or ergonomically. The Seated Massage
Experience, Level I will teach the following:

1. Positive Positioning™ of the client in the massage chair
2. Proper body mechanics
3. System for stress relief that will allow you to do 20-30 seated massages a day
4. Safety and legal considerations

This class is the 1st in the Integrative Health Care Practitioner Certification and will permit attendees to go on with IHCP Certification if they choose to do so.
7 CEU's  Bring a massage chair if you have one-if not-do not worry about it.

“Bodywork for the Hospice/Dying Patient” with Jean Wible
This course will explore the various ways to work with the dying patient. It will highlight the great variety of disease processes, spiritual aspects, physical
manifestations of end-stage dying and how to determine the best approaches to comfort and providing symptom relief in these clients. Topics will include
Wellness/Illness Continuum in the Dying, working with visible tumors, tubes,IVs, drainage, wounds, cancers (breast, brain, lung, colon, liver and more),
cautions/contraindications and dealing with the grieving patient and family. This course is invaluable whether you work directly with the ill or not-it is likely one day
you will have to deal with a dying client.  4 CEU's.
“Medications and Massage” with Jean Wible
This course will review the effects of massage on the physical & neurological body and cover how drugs (both prescription and over-the-counter) affect the body.
The most commonly prescribed drugs will be discussed as well as cautions, contraindications and changes in approach to massage therapy for these drugs.
Using a deductive reasoning approach, you will learn to determine the effects of the drugs your clients take and how to individualize your massage sessions.

“A Taste of My Thai” with Andrea Caplan
Interested in “lazy man’s yoga?” If so, join this hands on group in which we will play, play, play to learn the basics of supine thai-style stretching. This new protocol

you develop your new skills, as well as tips on how to combine them with your present ones.

eradicate restrictions in the body. This technique can be used on anyone-athlete or not and for any age. Learn to take your massage sessions one step further
and “feel the body.” A 30 minute walk is the first item of the day, so be sure to dress appropriately for the weather (rain or shine!).
